Method 1: Use an Existing Belt
Lay a well-fitting belt flat on a table.
Measure from the inner edge where the leather wraps around the buckle (the fold) to the specific hole you currently use.
The resulting number in inches is your belt size. This hole should ideally be the middle (third) hole of the new belt.
Method 2: Use Your Pant Size
Take your standard trouser or dress pant size and add 2 inches.
- Example: If you wear a size 34 pant, buy a size 36 belt.
For low-rise jeans or casual denim that sits lower on the hips, add 3 to 4 inches to your pant size instead.
